In April the team has been focused on more improvements to our major overhaul of the People screen, an update to the Android app, improvements to security and user privacy, as well as a number of updates in preparation for a wider release that will dramatically improve the functionality of the company number included on your account.
We also welcomed our newest team member Jason Schuchert to the team who joins as a DevOps engineer. For those of you not down with crazy tech company lingo, that basically means he’s the guy who ensures all our backend infrastructure is running like a top as we continue to grow and you guys continue processing more and more leads!
All customers on the Platform plan now have access to the “Teams” feature. If your account has many agents, this feature allows you to group agents in different teams and even assign team leaders.
See this help article for more information on this feature:
You can now delete your emails from Follow Up Boss, and optionally trash them in your Gmail account.
You won’t be able to trash in Gmail if:
We moved the user cards to a table view. This new look has all the same functionality as the old view, but allows you to view more data with less screen.
The call bar in the web-based app has been updated to utilize an upgraded library which offers a highly performant audio codec (Opus) which delivers better audio quality in various network environments and connection speeds.
When using email templates from the Android app, some hyperlinks and text styling was lost when sending the email and could be missing when the recipient opened the email. Now when using email templates, they will be sent exactly as expected – links, formatting, and all.
The user selection dropdown now features a search box, this is very useful if you are an admin in an account with many users:
For customers with the “Teams” feature, we clarified some aspects of being a team leader.
You can now give your agents access to all leads in the system, without giving them access to other admin features by using the new “ISA / Account Team Leader” role on the team screen:
You could do this in the past by making the agent the team leader of the default team, but this change clarifies being an account team leader is not quite the same as being the team leader of any other team.
Like agents, you can also give lenders access to all leads in your system by changing their role to “Lender / Account Team Leader”.
The user table has been updated to reflect a more accurate “last seen” Web time based on FUB2 activity (it used to show last login time). The table also now includes a total member count.
We made huge performance changes when you’re editing the rules for a lead flow. It is much more responsive and fluid to use.
Before, when a change was made, the entire screen would flash, or on larger rule lists, it would take 3s to add a new condition. This is now immediate no matter the number of rules.
You can now move a shared inbox phone number to another shared inbox. This will help keep things organized and consolidate communications as well.
To move a number to another shared inbox, visit the phone number management screen, and the “actions” now contains a “Move number” option. Simply choose the inbox you wish to move the number to, and hit “Move”.
Sorting on user table now works. When sorting, the first click sorts ascending, second descending, and one last click will return to the default sort order (which is based on role). For some columns such as Phone or Connected Email the sorting is based on if there is a value or not, so you can see who still needs to add a phone or connect an email to Follow Up Boss.
Shared inbox phone numbers now support labels. This is particularly useful with the new Company Inbox which includes the company phone number as well as its own inbox number. Labels are a great way to distinguish the source of incoming/outgoing calls and texts.
To edit inbox number labels, visit the phone management screen, under “actions” for a shared inbox number hit “edit label”.
We’ve just released a bug fix for exporting where an export would fail to be generated due to users in the account having very large email signatures.
As part of this bug fix, we have also made exporting contacts faster.
